I loved this book! This book is perfect to cleans your pallet - it is a very cute, joyful book and made me giggle through out reading. I really enjoyed the characters and the banter between Evie and The Villain, Tristan. Evie is a bubbly, sunshine type of person and she doesn't back down. The Villain is a grumpy "don't bother me character." It reminds me of Disney movies: its light hearted and make me smile the whole way through.
The majority of this book takes place in an office setting so there no real world building. But there is a slight mystery which has you on the edge of your seat. I love that the book is written in both Evie's and Tristan's point of view so you get to see what they are both thinking! The tension and chemistry between Evie and Tristan was so good - the way they were always thinking about each other! There's also no spice in this book but the build up and the tension is so good! I am so excited to read the second book!!
Definitely pick this up if you're looking for: Short fantasy, pallet cleanser, light hearted, slow burn, good banter, and villain love interest.
