I recommend you read the books in order. The first two are: The Fine Print and Terms and Conditions.
This is the final book in the Dreamland series and the tension between CAL and ALANA is so intense I didn't want to put the book down! If you have been reading this series then you know Cal is the third Kane brother who has to complete his task from his grandfather in order to receive his inheritance. Cal needs the sell his grandfather's house, in a small town in Lake Wisteria, to receive his shares and money but he has to do it by the end of summer.
Cal has been struggling with addiction for years. He is a high functionating alcoholic, a washed up athlete and a trust fund brat. At least that's what the world thinks of him. But Lana is his childhood best friend, and the only women's heart he has broken, knows the real Cal. He promised her he would never come back to town when he broke her heart but Cal's grandfather had different plans for him. When he goes to check out the house he finds his Alana, the only ex he ever loved, and her daughter Cami. He freaks out that Cami might be his and he passes out. Cal is so shocked by everything the only way he copes is by drinking. Is Cami his? How is he going to get Alana to sell the house she loves? Can he prove to Lana that he is the man for her?
I have never rooted for a character more than I root for Cal, he's so broken and hurt I want to see him succeed. I really liked Cal and Alana and there was so much tension and hurt, I want to see how their story ends. If they were going to find their way to love each other again or if it was all going to fall apart? Alana has been hurt by him before, she doesn't let him bullshit her and she protects her heart. She has been through so much over the last few years that she has become strong and fierce with many good friends who have her back. I also enjoy the relationship that Cal has with Lana's Daughter, Cami. The first time Cami meets Cal he swears and she tells him he has to put money in the swear jar and tell him it's $100 which he does.
I won't give everything away in this one. Check it out for yourself!
